Translating a playful, dreamlike fashion world online

Bon Beau Joli wanted a website that reflected its heritage and surreal, childlike vision, while remaining clear and functional. The challenge was to convey emotion, character, and storytelling across campaigns, collections, and product pages without overwhelming the user. Our goal was to immerse visitors in the brand’s universe, making each clothing item feel like a portal to a new world.

From inspiration to editorial, imaginative digital design

The process began with research and moodboards exploring photography, fonts, colors, layout, and visual storytelling. I collaborated closely with the brand designer, translating their color palette and shapes into a cohesive digital system, while adding editorial layouts and hand-drawn illustrations inspired by signature prints. We experimented with subtle micro-animations, product storytelling, and immersive campaigns to highlight the wonder children see in the clothes, while keeping functional pages like product details and collections clear and intuitive.

The final website balances editorial elegance with childlike wonder, reflecting BBJ’s heritage and unique style. Subtle animations, interactive illustrations, and campaign photography bring the brand’s universe to life, while a clear structure supports intuitive shopping. The site gives customers and visitors a sense of quality, creativity, and storytelling, creating an experience that is both memorable and practical.
